Great idea in principle - I've got two cars and use neither very much and am happy for family and friends to use them...

BUT

Letting anyone use them.

What happens if some noddy changes into second instead of 4th and blow the gearbox/engine.
How about hygiene and celaning the car after they've used it
How about all the possibility for fraud.

I take my hat off to these people. Great idea in principle, but this is one I can never see working and being profitable.

Anyone tried it or got their car on there?

Is that like a privately owned pool car?

Too much trouble imo, especially when you can get a usable car for less than £500.

Just found Whipcar on the internet, and was wondering if anybody has thought about doing it at all?

I guess you have to make sure you have insurance to cover breakages, your costs cover regular valeting and as for fraud, by virtue of being a pooled car you'd have a good defence if it did happen.

If I had a new car I didn't use much and planned to sell before the end of the warranty, I'd do it.

ETA and if I didn't live in the middle of nowhere...
