My first trackday experience
Discussion
Well on the 21st of april me and my mate went to Brands to do a taster session evening trackday with MSV which comprised of 4 20min sessions where you could choose as many as you wanted to do for £25 each.
We both decided to do 2 as this was probably going to be enough and it worked out about right I'd say.
It's certainly given me the bug for it though as it's the first real time Ive been back on track since stopping karting about 3 years ago and has made me cosider getting a proper track car after the 6 to take full advantage of my possible new found addiction!
It did show up however that the fairly recently fitted hankooks really didnt enjoy the abuse they got with the NSF going off after about 3 laps or so, and I think a better, stiffer suspension setup would definately be neeeded as it was a bit rolly on the eibach/bilstein combo it's on, oh and also an oil cooler as I was hitting 140 in my 2nd session! But other than that the only real casualty is my clutch now judders quite badly but it was on its way out so I'm not too fussed.
It was also the first time on track for my mate in his FRP and he loved it, and was slowly building his confidence in its capabilities as the sessions went on after not owning it that long. Again I think he'll be wanting to more!
Anyway a few pics from the day...
