I may well be wrong, but I'm sure I've heard it's off a Metro??

Have you looked though all the old postings?

Cheers,

Dave.

The original push in type (the one with the nice bracket!) is from a Metro (late 80's), the screw in type is probably off of a cooker

I’d recommend ringing kenlowe, they do an adjustable fan switch for about £35 inc post, packaging and vat. It is quite simple to fit and you can then set it up to come in when you like.

I have just changed mine.

The push fit type (S1 - S2) original part was a Unipart - number GVS 104

I bought a patern part - Intermotor 50056 from my local factor for £6.95.

Hope this helps.

Steve.

Scrub the patern parts - they cut in far to late (120°C) - I think they may be off a Rover 800.

I believe the one used by the S is off a Metro - safest bet is to stick to the Unipart one GVS104 - £8.45 + vat from a Rover or Unipart dealer (and much less hastle).

I got the part number from parts at Mole Valley - Redhill - he is pretty helpful, if not try any of the dealers.

Steve.
