Hi, I'm looking at Supercharged RR Sports. In the real world, how bad are they on fuel? I've looked at figures on the Net, etc, but was wondering how they were in real life. Cheers.

Thirstier than a very thirsty think with a drink habit.. or 11mpg general use and 17mpg if your carefull. Really anal Reginald Molehusband types may see better but watching paint dry may be a more exciting.

Ok, mine is an FFRR but the figures are surprisingly similar.

Expect around the 14-17mpg in town, hoofing it will get to 6mpg temporarily if you really want to try hard to burn fuel but a mixture of normal driving is 14-17.

Motorway, I'd driven sedately at 70-75mph on cruise control and had it happily doing around 24mpg, generally if I'm keeping up with traffic in the third lane then it's more like 21mpg.

I'm thinking of a RR for Mrs Thrust and would like a s/c.

What would a 4.4 n/a petrol be getting in the real world?

Very interesting, thanks, what about on a motorway run?

I have only been on two long hauls but never yet (4000k miles) reset Trip.

I would hope I could gain two maybe three MPG. But not massive savings.

May as well get the S/C if you're going to get a petrol V8... not a lot in it on the petrol and the S/C has every toy imaginable plus uprated suspension

As somebody rightly said to me on this here forum "If you are worried about fuel costs don't get a S\C"

He was right.

I've had it a year now and love it !

FFRR S/C and my average yesterday going back and forth London Bournemouth: 17.2mpg (avg speed 82mph) - same as my 993turbo but at 100-105mph, not worse than a 360Modena

In general in central London, one full tank (120GBP - 100l) lasts 300miles.

A lot, yet the car is super smooth, silent, and really pulls (for a 4x4) when I need it to.

Hope that helps
