Gatwick parking - parkatmyhouse.co.uk? Yay/nay?

As per title really.
Our prefered place to park and leave the car in the Gatwick vacinity has now decided that their parking will be done offsite in the peak season when it has always been onsite and you can park your car yourself in a nice multistorey and keep your keys.
Not trusting any of the big parking operators or hotels with any of my cars, even my jalopy, and having had a couple of dubious experiences in the past and seen far to many documentaries on what lowlife oiks who work there get up to in and with your car while you are away, I have stumbled across this site.

Half the price of even the cheapest airport parking, safe parking in alot of cases, keep your keys, and alot of the people even seem to drop you off at the airport for free!
Has anyone done this before, recommend anyone or have any advice?

Clicked a few of the links and most wont be any better than just parking it somewhere quiet in Crawley as thats pretty much all youd be doing, but paying for it unless you can find a locked up place.
Theres one quite close to my house at £5 a day, which would be a waste when really you could park in a free spot right next to it. All youd miss is the lift.

Appreciated, but what that £3-£5 a day pays for is peace of mind that it is on someones inhabited drive or property, under PIR lights and being broadly watched by the house owner, rather than parked on a public road being left at the mercy of opportunist thieves and car thieves.
Having seen it before, having a window smashed and your car ransacked is bad enough, but it can very quickly turn into a vandalising and ransacking spree if a car is left for long periods of time.
I'd happily pay a few quid a day to know it is tucked up on a private drive on private property.

I always use Maple Manor if I have to trek to Gatwick - http://www.gatwickparking.net/ - and been very happy with them. No extra miles, polite and trustworthy (seeming, at least!) staff.
I've noticed too that you can usually get decent deals on airport short stay by booking in advance - just back from 5 days with the car left in Stansted short-stay and it only cost about a fiver more than leaving it in mid-stay.

I recently flew out of Gatwick and used purple parking to find a really good rate for meet and greet parking...you can either do that option on the way out and back, or just on the way back.
Also someone recommended the Marriot courtyard at Gatwick (think that was what it was called) and they do a very reasonable rate.
