For those of us who are clueless about such things - does that mean the Tories are the favorites?

Looks like it. Not good odds for making money but I stand to get a days work on Sunday if the Tories get in.

I know exactly what you mean, alot of the older blokes at my work are refusing to vote tory just because what maggie did to the miners!

Obviously you've not visited the pit villages left behind. Most haven't got a decent shop or pub left, but do have a shiney 'learning resource centre' and large groups of coughing and gnarled old blokes who haven't worked since.

Odd that an uneconomic coal/steel/motor/manufacturing/pub industry isn't too big to fail, but the Pret A Manger at Canary Wharf is.

That's why they won't vote Tory.

I found exactly the same a couple of weeks ago. Chap moaning about THAT Thatcher woman - He would have been five when she was ousted.
Got it all. Milk snatcher, Falklands, minors the full works.

Amazing how parental influence still carries on.

Try living in Dennis Skinners constituency.....

That is my in-laws. They don't know the policys, aren't happy with how Labour have done in the last few years, but will vote Labour "because I always have."

How many times have the bookies got it wrong? Really hoping for a Tory win but the smart money is still on a hung.

Thatcher didn't cause that damage.

The unions and the demented narcissist Scargill bear most of the responsibilty.
