Right, just going to be purchasing my '5 this weekend hopefully, very very excited!

Anyway.. Other than a service/wash etc & a very good long drive what was the first thing you done to your '5?

Bought it some new goodies?
What did you buy it?

biggrin

2 Reconditioned leather seats (ouch!), decent ebay mats, chrome air vent rings, some T-cut and a full tank of petrol for a good ragging.

No worries!

I'm going for a Red '5 so think some clear side repeaters will suit that.

Probably some new plates for it too as I have a thing about tatty plates.

No worries!

Going to go for Mazda Stamp or indie?

The first thing I did to mine on collection last Friday was to get it sideways in the first few hundred yards on two mini-roundabouts. Bloomin' brilliant.

Come back and report on what YOU think it needs?

+1. Haven't done any mods yet, but an induction kit is probably on the cards.

The 1st thing I did was rag it around a car park at Silverstone at the end of a Caterham slalom day. Where I found the body roll to be...well more than I wanted.

Then I gave it to performance5 to have stiffer ARBs and a Roll Bar fitted. The handling from then was even better evil

Litle shiny vent rings (really perks up an all-black intrior) and a new stereo.

Decent, matching tyres, and alignment. And fresh oil. Always put fresh oil in.

Last weekend (2 days in), drove it like i stole it for 250 miles with other PHers.

This weekend, foam, wash, clay, wash, polish with DA and menzerna, wax with collinite.

Change over clear side repeaters and reflectors wired up as running lights.

Asap put private plate inc new stick on front.

Smile and enjoy.

Oh yeah, forgot I bought a rollbar with harness bar from TR Lane weeks ago, still have not recieved it... My intention was to keep the suspension standard to keep the famous sweet ride, but I know within 6 months it will have fully adjustible suspension!
