Console buttons...

Hi all, apologies for possibly the least exciting thread for some time but I'm seriously thinking of an E60 M5 as my next car and was wondering whether anyone could shed some light on the centre console buttons (the strip of buttons near the base of the console). Some cars seem to have all (eight?) some cars have 2-4 or so... I guess they're there primarily for heated/cooled seats etc and thus not a major factor when considering the purchase of such a great car but I'm just curious...

As you can tell, I'm one for the detail...! Sad I know...

Any other pointers re E60 M5 purchase greatly received/appreciated!

The outside 2 are heated seats
The next 2 (most commonly blank) are for vented seats. The vented seats take ages to get cool and look bloody awful at the same time as being a pain to clean. My advice would be to avoid these!
The next 2 are active seat (active seat side bolsters) an absolute must in my opinion!
The centre 2 will be present on all M5s. PDC and trye pressure monitor
