I assume the OP is referring to the loss of our AAA rating. This will make borrowing more expensive and push us further into the hole.

A) Does anyone still trust rating agencies?
B) We have been paying more on gilts than other AAA nations so we have already had a defacto down grade.
C)You are more likely to see big cuts in spending with a hung parliament.
