Why was it that ITV seemed to be able to get results on screen 10-15 minutes faster than the BBC last night? Apart from the obviously 'live' declarations, ITV seemed to talley up the wins 10-15 minutes earlier than the BBC throughout most of the night.

Comparing the two channels last night, ITV consistently had a lead in getting results to screen. Something I saw on ITV would only be declared on the bBC 10 plus minutes later....

Very surprised that the BBC seemed to be so poor at getting the results to the screen.

Any ideas? BBC being ultra careful or did they really not have a finger on the pulse?

Well I only stayed up until about 2am, and the Labour wins were being called earliest, so this doesnt explain it.
