Testing Ban

Well we're cracking on with the season now. Has the testing ban really saved any significant cost?

It just seems that with the ban, the teams are being stretched to work ridiculous hours etc etc to try and cram everything in.

To me it just seems like they should just reinstate the testing and let em get on with it.

I still think Thursdays before the Grand Prix should be an open test sessions, with teams using mandatory test drivers and regulated amount of gearbox/engine units.

Sounds fair. I can understand limiting engines etc to a certain degree, if it really will keep costs in check and improve racing (which i'm yet to be convinced). However, I think allowing testing would give the No3 driver some opportunities and give the team some slack in their working hours.

I've got an ask re this - in Autosport 2 days ago, they said "schumacher did a shake down run of the car at xxx yesterday". xxx wasn't Catalunya. Does this mean Ferrari have done a test session?
