I know it does me.

I dislike Brown, New Labour and left of centre politics but Cameron and Osborne have been my least favourite Tories for some time.

I would not have been hugely disappointed with a Labour win this time, because it would have meant that Labour would have had the full benefit of their chickens coming home to roost followed by a generation in the wilderness.

I would have been OK with a Tory win because at least we would have the right economic principles at play for a while, but I foresaw a spell out of power for them next time round if they won this time.

But we have got the worst possible result, in my opinion, and I am frankly not surprised. I cannot blame Brits for not handing the Tories a resounding victory. They had the choice of a dreadful current government or a pair of pompous twits in the form of Cameron and Osborne promising a vague notion of change.

Given that we are now a country where celebrity and personality trumps substance it all makes sense.

Is anyone interested in negotiating a bulk discount on plane tickets out of here?
