Name that car!

Right, this car is suspected to have been used in a bank robbery in a village a couple of miles from where I live. The local newspaper story says "The car, possible a Vauxhall Astra, was totally destroyed by fire."

I don't think it's an Astra. But I can't for the life in me place what it is (or rather, was). My initial thoughts were 307, but on close inspection I don't think that's it. Then I thought Fiat Bravo, but the rear quarter window is in the panel rather than the door. A mate of mine has also struggled to identify it so it has fallen to the PH masses to put my frustration at bay please:

I think it's a small car, estate version.

Clio estate looks most likely at the moment, the rearmost side window looks about right.
