This has to be one for John Reid: there is a fundamental problem with billing a Dunlop TVR Challenge weekend as a 2 day event at the beginning of the season and then discovering it has been compressed into one day (Sun).
Firstly: As John states - we shall be twiddling our thumbs all day Sat at Snett.
Secondly: If BH turns out to be a one day Sun event also, I shall have wasted my time lining up potential sponsors on the Sat for what I anticipated would be at least Sat qual + one race.
No wonder the TVR grids are small this year if the rug keeps being pulled from under our feet - a weekend's (sorry Sunday's) racing costs at least £500 and yes we the drivers do plan around what is slated to happen over a declared 2 day weekend!

Oh dear!! I understand that there were 12 TVR entries last Thursday and I had thought there would be a few more by now. It strikes me that anyone trying to put in a late entry may find difficulty. I am very dissappointed. I don't rate Cadwell as a TVR circuit and have consistently said this and refused to go there. Unfortunately, the BRSCC insisted we go there and we were amalgamated with another series which will now probably happen for the rest of the year. 15 Minute races, not 20 and amalgamated grids are raising the costs and seemingly downgrading a series that produced a good level of entries last year until the field was decimated at Castle Combe. I had hoped to do the remaining rounds this year but may change my mind.

Closing date is 27th May, I paid yesterday. Races are still shown as 20 minute races.Numbers did go down after Coombe last year, but was that not more about where the circuits were for many??
My mistake, you are right John, 20 mins they are. Age and all that!! I did not do all the races true and that is down to cost but I think that Oulton's entry was the disappointment last year. I agree about Angelsey which was predicted as a low turn out. Both came after Combe. The rest were up to the required numbers.
The point is that we now seem to have been combined with others before the entry has closed so I can see this continuing.

The moral of the story is if you intend racing then get entries in really early. You can cancel without penalty up to about a week before (worth checking exactly when), so there isn't any financial risk if you end up not being able to race.
As for Snett, I had hoped to be able to bring my car out in that one. I now have my new engine but I have a fair bit to do before I can install it, then it needs mapping and running in. Unfortunately I've got no chance of being ready.
Shame, particulary as I've just heard it is a rolling start. If I'd have been ready and it was a standing start I'd probably have started from the pit lane - my car wouldn't be happy doing a standing start
