Given the Lib-Dims should have benefited from all the publicity, why are they doing worse in local elections?

I'd guess the amnesty for illegal immigrants and wanting to join the Euro really didn't help them.

More than likely all those councils with Lib Dems on them want rid.

They haven't been very good around here (York Central).

In answer to the OP's question...

I'd imagine because the people who usually vote for them, probably like most voters, didn't really have a clue what they were actually voting for. Having directly come from the horses mouth as time went on, they realised what was in store for them.

He may have come over really well in the debates, but as far as I'm concerned their policies stink like a rotten kipper.

Oh....and the media love a good story that can be bigged up ever 5 seconds by throwing a cat amongst the pigeons. wink

Up this way, Lib-Dem were voted in in local elections to punish Labour. Now the General Election has been, the bds reverted to type and voted Labour.
