Has anyone experiance previously of having booked a high street package holiday that was either cancelled or re-scheduled due to the volcano.

Specifically i was wondering how close to departure the option os offered to fly elsewhere (if in this case it is not affecting UK)?

We are meant to be traveling Gatwick to Faro on Saturday with First Choice. Looks like we might get out by the skin of our teech so to speak.

Also what happens if whilst we are there we cant get back? Will we be able to stayon in accomodation or is it likely we can be moved on and at whose expense?

Thanks x

If it is a package holiday, your tour operator is responsible for you while you are out there, so if you get stuck they have to bed and board you, so to speak. Some friends of mine got stuck in Egypt last month and enjoyed an extra 6 days all inclusive. smile
