2.5 exhaust

just been to see a man about a custom exhaust system today. got a great price and he will build me a new manifold also as mines screwed. am i right in saying that orignal 2.5 exhaust only has 1 cat. the guy im speaking to thinks decating her is the way forward and sports cat and 2-300 each and would need 2. is there any problem with decatting the car have any of you done this. i will get a remap afterwards of course

Only problem with decatting is that it will fail the MOT. There are ways around this ofcourse and you may be refused entry to track days due to the noise.
You will need a remap after. What ECU do you have?

i have a mbe ecu. if an MOT is the only problem looks like i will be decating it.
