My Alarm Key is at Deaths Door - How to replace?

It looks as though my alarm key (Mk 1 Tuscan + meta alarm) is finally giving up the ghost. The central button is over indented though use and twice it has been very difficult to disarm and before I get caught out I think I need to at least change the battery - or better still obtain a replacement key as the button on this one has had it. I have searched around and can’t seem to find any advice on a) what type of battery it is and how to replace and re-programme or b) where can I get a new replacement key etc etc ? Any ideas? I am in the Essex area. Cheers...

TVRPower shop will sell you two keys and an ignition barrel. Don't know about reprogramming them though. Just go to Str8six or henley or power or someone and ask them, would be my advice

Buy a blank key and get it cut.
Take out inside bit and put in new one.
You can get a battery off ebay £3 info on battery in key.

I would also suggest giving Carl a ring, he sorted out both of mine as they were getting worse and worse with regards to locking/unlocking the car, managed to keep the existing keys as well.
