I seem to have rather narrow ear canals and my current in ear valve things tend to be a pain to get in and hurt like hell after a while, so I'm looking for a set of electronic bins to replace them with.

I have seen the usual offerings from Peltor etc, but I was just wondering what the PH verdict was and if anyone has found anything particularly good that they recommend. Budget.. I'd like to spend under £100 really, but super fancy features or exotic materials can always change that!

Ive got some custom in ear passive plugs which do the job a treat, about £75 IIRC.

I think you can get active in ear plugs now, but they cost plenty.

Personally couldnt shoot in anything that blocks all sound.

Personally I just use normal foam plugs, tried bins but couldn't get on with them.Bought my father some of these last year which seem to be very popular http://www.yorkgunsonline.co.uk/product_details.ph... he's used them three times a week for nearly tweleve months and the batteries still appear to be going strong, indeed two of his mates have now bought them on his recommendation.
One criticism, the volume knobs are just a friction fit and over time it seems they go missing.

I suffer from something similar and find that they are just not at all comfy in the long run, having quite narrow ear channels as well I usually use plugs, however I have just bought some noise cancelling things, I forget their name, £26, I find they actually fit in my ear quite well, going to be interested to see how they perform on the next shoot.

Beretta make some nice "cans". However, any battery fed moderators should be tried on for comfort before buying.

I wear mine for up to three hours at a time without discomfort.

Thanks for the replies. I found these over the weekend:

They seem really good value, but not sure how well they stack up agains the competition. Saying that though, they're half the price of the Peltors:

They're not electronic, but I use these http://www.avalon-guns.com/avalon/info_95460.html

I prefer them to the bulky electric ones as they dont hit the end of your stock when you mount it.

Peltor Tactical 6s smile I think they were about £70 - superb, low-profile, work brilliantly.
