Rather disturbed (polite term) to find that My son had to pay £51 for his theory test(ss)in Peterborough but my Niece is paying £31 in Reading WTF did I do wrong other than choose the wrong city?
It's £31, if he booked through the DSA website they'll have a record via the application number, contact them and ask for an explanation / refund.Seems my initial google search trapped me on a broker site that I wrongly assumed was the official site . feel gutted that I've been duped , there was no mention of a booking fee as far as I remember . My fault I guess and I feel a fool for getting caught 3 times by the same con. I'm not a net rookie . digging deeper it looks like the company involved provides help and advice to pass the test . we didn't take any advantage of that but paid through the nose for nothing . be warned

Nearly paid the £50 myself today! A £20 "admin fee" just for the company booking it with DSA, rather than you booking it with DSA direct. I just searched DSA, and clicked the first sponsored link. It's not the official DSA website.
Cheeky.
In the T&C's of the site, it mentions something about being 'licensed to resell it [theory test]' and other stuff about practice questions and advice, like you mentioned.
But advice and practice questions are available free of charge from directgov.com anyway.
Cheeky barstewards.
I wonder how much they pay to be that first sponsored link.
Hi I'm new to this, Thought I'd share this info with you as I was also cond.
I booked my theory test who I thought was DSA and when I got to the pay pal bit they charged me £51 and my driving instructor told me it should be £31, so I did abit of rearch with Google and found out it was a brother and sister scaming pepole, full story here http://dsa.gov.uk/News.asp?id=SXACAA-A7836A60
Pay pal info said it was DSABOOKER.CO.UK MGS LTD.
Well just hope my info is safe. I now have booked it by phone with DSA them selfs, so people please be careful when booking anything over the internet as you never know what will happen.

My son was scammed by dsabooker.co.uk
They took his money but nothing was booked and no replies. Lesson learnt for him ...
There's no such company as MSG Ltd ,they directed the payment throught paypal. Complaints to Paypal resulted in being 'bagged off' as they usually do.
The dsabooker.co.uk site was only registered beginning of August. The Paypal account was closed by paypal.
It does look like the site is still running, there's also a phone number on there now.
beware....
