Some people really don't care...
Discussion
This morning I pulled up at some lights on the left of a quite beat-up looking Focus - blokey in front and girl driving, two child seats in back with toddlers in. There are two of the four wheel nuts missing on the front wheel!
So I beeps the horn and waves at bloke. I point out that he's missing a pair of nuts (fnarr!) and am treated to "What the f
k has it got to do with you?"
That'll be the last time I bother trying to do someone a good turn
There are obviously differing standards of car care about; I (and I suspect most people on PH) get worried about having my tyre pressures a couple of psi out. I dare say most people just don't care.

Just hope they get thir comeuppance (safely of course). Someone up my road wih a freelander drove round with no brakelights at all for about a month. I saw this and that evening wandered up the road and tapped his door to tell him. He wasn't rude but was just utterly utterly disinterested. Few weeks later I saw the local traffic BiB had stopped him and when I passed they had him at the back of the car and were pointing dissaprovingly at the light clusters. He saw me grinning as I drove past.

Sometime soon, he'll smash both of your rear lights, knock on your door and say "Excuse me, I was walking past and noticed that your rear lights don't appear to be working..."MattyB_ said:

Round the estate where I live there are a number of roads without white lines, many of the 'don't care' muppets have taken to driving down the middle of the road and blatantly cutting corners, the number of close calls I've had with these morons in the last few weeks is getting out of control. Might be worthwhile contacting local PCSOs who might then show their faces in the area.I know exactly what you mean. My house mate, the one I dont get on with very well, had pretty much bald tyres on the back of his 1 series. So I thought I would point this out incase he hadn't realised.
All I got back was some b
ks about how it was 'skid' (I have no idea what he was trying to say it was)and he flat out refused to believe they needed replacing. In the end I just left the room saying 'well its 3 points per tyre'. I hope the
gets pulled and done for how rude he was to me.

I was flashing my headlights and hazard lamps at her...don't think she even noticed, eventually overtook her, stopped my car in front of hers at a junction (no other cars around so was safe) and had to verbally explain to her what she was doing.
She was grateful to be honest, but she must have had the concentration of a fish. Does worry me how uninterested in their cars safety some people are.

Just realised how dodgy that could sound...SHE was in the Shogun with the kids and no lights on - not me :P

I once came round a blind corner on a dark country road one night to see a police car blocking the road where they were just setting up blocking a road after two cars had seemingly had an accident.
I was turned around, and on the way back up the road, I flashed a few times at a road user coming the other way to warn them.
They waved me down, and I was just about to explain about the road accident round the corner, when I got a torrent of abuse about how I am I
, and how dare I flash them, andp that they would break my legs if they saw me again.
I don't bother any more. Too many f
kwit meathead neanderthals out there these days.
