UNBELEIVEABLE good service from BMW warranty services

Well I’m totally amazed and impressed at such an amazing service by BMW warranty UK.

My beast is now 4 years old. When it was 3 years old I took out the extended warranty, I took the option to pay the ongoing monthly preimum.

ANYWAY… had some problems I posted about before with it going into limp mode at 7500rpm and above, and also had a faulty power steering pump which I knew about. So I left it with the delaer for a couple of days at same time as getting oil service done.

2 days later I go to collect the car and get a bill of £2600! Er… no I say it is covered under warranty I’m only expecting to pay the oil change. We all know any excuse to get out of paying a claim is to be expected…Well turns out that the warranty was refused due to not being paid? So I speak with BMW warranty and they say the direct debit was cancelled 2 months ago. I’m totally confused so phone my girlfriend who takes care of all that sort of thing! She tells me it should be paid monthly then checks online banking. She then says “er…. Oh dear, when I changed banks I forgot to set up that direct debit” OK I probably over reacted and screamed a bit of abuse at her down the phone and got some strange looks from other customers… So still the dealer calls BMW warranty and explains what has happened. They come back on phone, “oh dear sir, very unfortunate, but I’m sure its an easy mistake you shouldn’t blame your partner” Before I can swear down the phone, again, she goes on “ tell you what sir if you pay the 2 missing payments now we will honour the warranty, pay this claim and set up a new direct debit for you, would that be ok sir?” So I pay for my oil service and off I go!

WOW! So they had the perfect chance to get out of paying and actually offered to help, I am so stunned by this! What outstanding service from them saved me £2300! Thanks to people at BMW warranty services for such a great attitude! Seriousy anyone considering going to any other warranty company, it's not worth saving the exra couple of quid!

Cor blimey, that is indeed very good service, think you got quite lucky though with it, as I very much doubt you would get away with that 99times out of a 100.

I have found the BMW warranty to be fantastic too. I think it has a lot to do with your dealer though.
It's good to hear of proper customer service for a change.
