Whats this film....Cannibalism, old american ghost town?

I remember watching a film some time ago and cannot remember the name of it- I remember it involving a group of teenagers taking a shortcut on a road trip and coming across an old american 4th july BBQ in the countryside, where cannibalism occurs, and the town mayor has an eye patch with maggots coming out of it.... can't remember much more! Anyone know what this is?
