Geometry settings
Discussion
Hi
Can anyone advise the geometry settings for a Wedge?
Not sure of the model number but it is 5.0L if that helps.
The UJs are shot so it has huge camber but I can't see that accounting for the monster toe in it also has so will need some figures before I can start to fix it.
Many thanks
Steve

The tracking should be set at 3.2mm toe-in +/- 1.5mm
Caster: 3.5 - 4.0 deg. pos.
Camber (F) 1.0 deg. neg.
Camber (R) 1.0 - 1.5 deg. neg.
Toe (in) (F) 0.50 deg.
Toe (in) (R) 2MM - don't know why MM not deg!
I think they mean just a little bit.
2mm on 15inch rims = 0.30 degrees = 18 minutes
2mm on 17inch rims = 0.27 degrees = 16 minutes
Either way it's just a smidge toe in.
15 inch rims 3.2mm toe gives 0.24 degrees wheel to vehicle center-line or 0.48 degrees wheel to wheel.
14 inch rims 3.2mm toe gives 0.26 degrees wheel to vehicle center-line or 0.52 degrees wheel to wheel.
For the front
toe is 3.2 +/- 1.5mm
camber is 0 +/- 1.2 degres (not adjustable anyway is it?)
caster is 31.2 +/- 0.5 degrees (this one I'm not sure if I heard right)
KPI 6 degrees
For the rear
toe is 4.5mm
camber is 0.5 +/- 0.5 degrees
Hope that helps, these are the general setting for all 350 to 450 models
Cheers
Chris

Chris thanks for that.
Standing beside the car and looking down on the rear wheel there appears to be at least 1/2" or more toe in. You have confirmed my original thoughts that there should be little or no toe at the rear.
All I need to do now is find out why.
Any thoughts?
As I said the UJs are shot but I don't think they are a factor.

Steve, I had the same problem with rear toe in on my 350i.Standing beside the car and looking down on the rear wheel there appears to be at least 1/2" or more toe in. You have confirmed my original thoughts that there should be little or no toe at the rear.

If yours is A frame rear suspension, then you'll find that the bottom wishbone has an adjuster at the front (inboard) corner. Once adjusted you'll have to also adjust the length of the stabiliser bars that link the chassis to the hub carrier.
More often than not the wishbone adjusters seize up. I solved mine by fitting refurbished wishbones (via ebay).
I still have the old wishbones, which do need re-bushing and the adjusters freeing off (RT racing recommened soaking them in diesel for a few weeks).
To adjust the camber at the rear end you have to split the driveshaft from the brake disn and add / remove shims (Jag parts).
