Hi all,
Been reading the website for about 4 years now, thought it was about time I signed up and introduced my two vehicles:
First up is the work car, a 2001 Jaguar XJ8 Sovereign in lwb form and featuring the 4.0l V8. Have owned the car for a couple of months now, having needed something more suitable to traveling up and down the M6 corridor! Absolutely love the car, the ride and comfort is immaculate and whilst not in the same league as the Mazda, it can move when it needs to.
Second is the weekend car, soon (hopefully) to be track day machine. It's a 1990 Mazda Eunos featuring an intercooled FMII kit with Link G4 ECU running 208BHP courtesy of WGT Autos, and big brakes to cope. Now that this isn't my primary car I hope to make it a little more focused with reliability not being critical; it'd be nice to achieve 250BHP that's sustainable for prolonged use on track.
Sorry for the crappy camera photos, at some point wen they're both properly cleaned I'll get some more!
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the comments guys!
The wheels are rather nice... unfortunately the paintwork isn't though it does look good in that photo! There's a lot of laquer peel and chunks missing thanks to a poor respray in it's past. Tempted to sort over summer, but seems pointless if I end up tracking it.

Thats bloody good BHP out of your MX5 i bet that flys!!! (i bet it feels like its going to take off too!) And the jag is just class. It is THE Waft machine.... i get moist over the levels of refinement in those old beasts....
It certainly does! Still you always want more... Unfortunately, due to the nasty power delivery from the GT2860 fitted to a 1600 engine it's a little laggy. Superb fun, put can be pain putting down the power on our roads; accelerating out of corners is a seat of our pants experience at the best of times, and wet weather driving pretty much limits you to <3000rpm.Speedracer said:
Looks like you have got all bases covered very well there, two lovely motors.
Thanks very much  Considering the MX5 is one of the smallest driver-orientated cars you can for before hitting kit car territory, I thought the Jag would be an interesting extreme, i.e. its about the biggest thing you can get! Plus... big beemers and mercs, whilst superb alternatives, just left me a little cold and didn't leave you looking back at the car after having parked up.Edited by piefacemate on Monday 10th May 16:41
