Brief history and current car
Discussion
I never seem to post much on here but do on one or two other forums, so thought i'd see about posting a little more often.
First car at 17 was a little mk5 fiesta. Turned out to be a cracking car really, always reliable and simple to fix. Though when i did the timing belt it was a bit of pain. Still have it today for when the others break down
Then at 18 i got the urge for a mk2 golf. So i found myself a 16v gti in atlas grey It looked like this when first got it..
Which was ok, but i didnt like the look of it too much. The first things i did was to change the awful springs it had for come coilovers and fit a standard gti grill. Then i found some bmw bbs wheels and put them on.
Then during the last few months i owned it, it looked like this.. same wheels but powdercoated and decent rubber on them.
Next up after the golf turning into a money pit i went and bought an audi S3 by far the best car i have owned.
The audi is now dead for the moment though one bent conrod and a cracked cylinder head. So is currently in the barn and im in the process of either finding another engine or reconditon this one.
In the mean time i am drving about in this, a mk3 vr6
Did try on my other wheels but they are a little too big and catch on the rear slighty so the TT competition wheels are going back on.
Will be hard picking what to sell when i do finally fix the audi and get it back on the road.
thanks for looking.
And yes if your looking at the dates on one or two of the pics i am only 19 at the moment

Some very nice motors you've got there. The S3 and the mk3 golf look very tidy for their ages.
I'm a big fan of the S3s, I'm pretty sure thats what i'm going to end up buying when i'm done with my e46 after I graduate. I've been addicted to them ever since one of my mates at uni traded his gt tdi golf for one.

Yeah the S3 was totally standard boost so no excuse for it to have done that. It had done 136k miles which is slighty high but not mega. One of the reasons i picked this one was because of the great service history, was mostly audi dealer stuff. But just go's to show that doesn't mean everything when buying a car
May aswell put this in this thread rather than start a new one.
Managed to get the engine right out of the S3 yesterday, was quite a pig to do but got there in the end
Next step is to seperate the block from the gearbox ect and remove everything ready to take it to an engine shop and see if its repairable or a new one is needed.
Few pics i took while doing it. Farm spec engine removals
