Looking to camp somewhere to spend a couple of days at Polzeath. A quick search shows a lot of 'couples and families only'. Does anyone know anywhere nearby that allows groups? Only requirement is toilets and warm showers.

Thanks.

From experience years ago, I dont think that there are very many.

You may want to call and ask as sometimes depending on the time of the year they might change their rules.

The one we ended up staying at was on the road between Rock and Polzeath, Trebetheric I think, not sure of the name of the campsite though sorry.

The only one I know of is Lundynant. They are primarily a static caravan site but have a large field at the top of their property - the big downside being that the toilets and showers are a few minutes walk down the hill (2-3 mins brisk walk, so not the end of the world). Showers are 20p and pretty warm.

I've been there for the past 4-5 May Bank Holiday weekends (the second one) in groups of 20+ and they've never had an issue, even though we've not been particularly quiet. Sadly not going this year due to injury an age.

Downside is the walk back up the hill after the pubs have shut. Don't expect any luxury though, it's just a field close to some amenities, good view of the sunset while having a BBQ makes up for it on my eyes.

ETA - the number should come up if you google "Lundynant Polzeath", but if not I can dig out the number.
