What car is it?

Dark silver or grey would probably be my choice regardless.

As they are getting professionally coated, I voted red. Just so long as it's not those crappy kits that you 'can do without removing the brakes!' then it will look good IMO.

Champagne.

And for drum brakes it simply has to yellow to draw attention to the pure awesomeness of it.

I have glow-in-the-dark blue...

I'm easily amused and an escort with glow in the dark calipers sounds funny! hehe

Why not go for the full set?

- painted calipers
- GT stripes
- rude-boy exhaust
- LEDs in the washer jets

Brake dust colour for me thanks. Painting your calipers is all a bit 'demon-tweeks' for me.

I've been thinking about painting the drums on my car, purely because they are rusty as hell. It looks even worse with having an open wheel design, but it would be black, nothing chavvy.

Would this be considered ok?

Come on, give the guy a break, a lot of cars come out the factory with red, yellow or those awful green Skoda ones!

I would personally just go for silver or gloss black if I were you.

I did mention that they are currently seized, worn and rusted solid and I am having them remanafactured and as part of that process they will coat them or electroplate them in whatever colour.

At the same time I am upgrading both calipers and discs.

I don't think I mentioned spraying my drums or purchasing Lexus lights tongue out

So as much as I would like to continue to drive with no brakes in original rust enhancement... perhaps I should just... ya know... pick a colour silly

wink
In that case, black or silver only for me. I sort of like the yellows and reds on Porsche's et al but then they're quite impressive looking things for the eye to be drawn to. Unless you have calipers the size of house bricks, black or silver, or as god intended only IMO.

You don't need to pick a colour - just tell them to paint them whatever colour they would've come out of the factory originally. But really you are making all this fuss because you want our permission to match their colour to your under-sill neons don't you? hehe

Does that include Ferrari's and cars like competition vehicles?

Black!!!!

Red would look shocking unless they are Brembo calipers!
