I have posted pictures on several occassions recently. Sometimes the reply opens up with the picture visible and sometimes with just a red cross in a box which has to be opened seperately. What am I doing wrong - I want the pic to open automatically.
I also would like to know the trick here. At work i cant see any pic that has been posted from sites such as photobucket due to being removed from the stoopit internet police! Some people manage to add pics i can see however.... How?
I did, I used the 'upload an image' function in the normal 'reply to a topic' window. Used this yesterday when replying to outrigger thread in the Chim forum, but got the red cross symbol.
I think you'll find it's an issue with thumbsnap, the site PH uses. They've been up and down like a fiddlers elbow for some time. I'll find the thread...
As you say, seems like others have had problems so fault may not be me. I've got another question + photo which I will post later today so will wait to see how that pic comes out.
When I post pictures, I do a preview of the post before I submit the post and it nearly always shows the box with the red cross the first time but if you reload the preview that seems to sort it.
How do I shrink an image down to below 2Mb to send it via the 'upload an image' function. I have never sent a picture before and it's about time I learnt.
PS - I have so far managed to turn the computer on and select pistonheads from my favourites
Thanks V8 GRF, you've cracked it. Have just posted a new topic,'What is this tube for?', and clicked the preview button once and got a red cross, so clicked a second time and got a picture. Don't think you should have to do this but it worked. Thanks
