£300k of Japan's finest, barely defeats a £50k GTR in 1/4 mile drag.

1/4 run is not the end-all performance measure but at £300k......

I should think this would only matter to those who live their life a quarter mile at a time. wink

Not really.

I beat a Porsche 911 in a drag race in my old MR2 turbo. Didn't make it the better car.

How good did the Lexus sound though. Its all you could hear. I want one for the F1 soundtrack alone.

That clip annoys me a bit.. the LFA appeared to make a bit of a ste start, but wow.. idle to redline in just over half a second. It's a truly unique supercar

This post = fail.

I like the LFA more and more every time I see it. That engine is just a masterpiece. Finally there's an engine I like as much as the V10 in the CGT biggrin

I got overtaken by a Nissan GT-R when I was on my pushbike, I moved closer to the kerb as I honest to god thought I was being passed by a fking diesel bus. Sounded st.

Nah there's a difference between being overpriced and spectacularly failing to achieve the expectations of the targetted market segment.

Having said that, the LFA's got a bit more power than the GTR and a bit less weight. It's not really a massive surprise that an RWD car gets scared by an AWD car with slightly less power to weight over a short distance from a standing start

Get your ears checked. They might be fairly quiet with a standard exhaust but they don't sound like a diesel bus.

LFA sounds awesome.

Sounds awesome and I would guess that the winning margin would be much greater than it was over a standing mile.
