I have to nip over to Spain for a day next week, I looked on Easyjet's site and got the prices, I then did the same on Ryanair's site, Ryanair were £25 cheaper so I booked with them, I ticked no in all of the boxes as its just me, no bags or anything, and when i paid they were somehow £15 more expensive, Suddenly a load of additional charges went on. Their lawyers must be working overtime to make this legal, booking fees, credit card fees, on line booking on fees, you have no choice for these things.

The law should be changed to say they have to put this stuff on the headline price, yes i did read everything very carefully, they are lying thieving scheming robbers.

The ash cloud will probably balls it up anyway

I would even go as far as paying more to fly with Easyjet if they both fly to the same destination

Hate Ryanair

rofl

You know the box which says "I have read and agree to the terms and conditions"?

That means you've read and agreed them, see?

FFS!

If you don't like them, fly with someone else.

I had to go to Gothenburg recently - there is a direct Ryanair flight.
I flew to Stockholm on easyjet and caught the train down.

Took a lot longer. Cost me a lot more. But no way am i giving that O'Leary a penny of my money.

Surely you see the price before you pay, that’s how most websites work?

Flying out of Stanstead on EasyJet on Wednesday last week, tannoy pipes up with cancelled Ryanair flights to Ireland due to ash cloud. Then says please visit website to book new flights. Nothing else. They may have well laughed and thrown in a 'bad luck' too!

Well, it is pretty well known that the "cheap" air flights tend to have rather a lot of charges is it not?

You could always fly BA. There are some glorified waitresses (cabin crew) who would love to screw up your plans.

I'd be more concerned that they might not be going to Spain next week at all due to this ash cloud.

So the website adds money on after you submitted your card details and authorised payment?

How much were the flights? To be honest whenever I have used budget airlines in the past it has been so cheap that I really couldn't have given a toss if the flight was canceled or was late and nor would I expect any sort of outstanding service or personal attention for my 20 quid!

There was a time not all that long a go when a flight to Ireland would have cost a serious amount more than that with no choice or airlines and the same level of customer service!

No it tells you the total, you check a box to SAY YOU'VE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, and then you click "submit".

They are doing NOTHING wrong!!

Yes you do. If you don't want to pay the money, then don't, and don't fly with them.

They are s yes, but you're an idiot if you parted with your money for something you don't agree with!

I don't understand the OP.

When you're looking for a cheap flight, you don't even bother to compare prices until you get to the 'book now' button. That's the only time you actually get shown the price.

Sounds like the OP believed the headline price, and somehow seems surprised to see that's not the whole story...

The moral of this story is... (add moral of story, £5 fee [x])
