Hiring a tent in the circuit

Hello Chaps

Is it possible to hire a tent in the circuit? My brother and I are staying about 50-60 km away from the circuit but would like a place to go to for a snooze/rest if possible.

I seem to recall numerous uniform tents near Porsche curves sometime ago. Are they available to hire and would we need to pre-book as well?

Any information would be much appreciated.

Just buy a cheapo festival tent, and all your issues are sorted

Plenty of Frenchies just turn up on the day and pitch tents in just about any free space in or around the circuit

You can get all the camping stuff you will ever need in the local hypermarkets, all you need is to find some free floor space to set it up.

Ah I see, I just want a tent that has already been erected etc. I am far too lazy to do all the 'hardwork' of purchasing one and then putting it up...

Surely the cost hiring a tent should not be very much?

just buy a cheap pop up tent. get it out of the holder it pops up and bobs your uncle. you just need to put 2 or 3 pegs in to hold in the ground

No worries they are dead easy to put up. Putting them back in the bag is another story all together adult proof but just for a cheapy to put up and leave there its ideal

There are now two Decathlon stores in Le Mans, one in the North of the city and one in the new shopping centre off the Mulsanne. If you've not been to one of these before they are like a cheap sports superstore selling loads of own-brand gear that, to be honest doesn't last that well but then they sell it for peanuts so works out as good value.

Their UK store is currently selling those 2-man pop-up tents for £19.99 and their French one for E16.90.
