Lexus LFA Nurburgring Will Cost £400k
Special-edition super-Lexus to cost an M3 more than the standard car
Lexus has revealed prices for its special-edition LFA Nurburgring - and it will set buyers back almost £400k.
Just 50 examples of the hardcore super-Lexus will be made to celebrate the company's entry in the Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race, and the performance pack is set to cost an extra £55k on top of the £343,000 'basic' price.
There are four colours available - Black, Matt Black, Whitest White and Orange - and the Matt Black option will cost a cool £15k.
The Nurburgring package includes 10bhp more power, some aero tweaks and a sportier suspension set-up.

There are also various Nurburgring-related 'extras', including private parking, a co-pilot ride, a Nurburgring-branded jacket, and a one-year pass for track time on the Nordschleife.

Looks okay from the sides, but the back end looks like a fly's face - which isn't good! And the price tag is just hilarious, £350k is bad enough but then to pay an extra £55,000 and only get a 10bhp gain?
I don't understand why people keep banging on about the price. The car is a technological masterpiece. How much is a Carrera GT! I am pretty sure they cost more than 300K.. Dr Imran T said:

Just have a look at Jay Leno's collection, when you are that wealthy money is not the deciding factor. http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/at-the-garage/bugatt...

I know about Leno and car collectors..Leno doesn't own an LFA btw. Look its a desirable car but what exactly is ground breaking? what makes it a technological masterpiece?
You can't just brandish the fact that it will be bought...it has to be judged by it's peers..how else can we gauge if its a good product?

These Toyota people must be bonkers.
They want to sell an awfull car to people with no taste and too much dosh.
Who came up with this business plan and got it approved???
Why didn't they build something nice and beautiful for all this effort?
Very strange !!!
Not strange at all. People will buy them all, and so Toyota will make lots of money. Sounds like a fine business plan to me.They want to sell an awfull car to people with no taste and too much dosh.

Precisely, as petrolheads we should all be far more concerned that nobody at the 'realistic' end of the market is demanding lighter, stripped down cars any more. Forget trying to understand the minds of guys with £100m+ burning a hole in their yacht, worry more that Renaulstport couldn't shift a small run of R26.Rs to a country which seemingly is always claiming to want 'hardcore' cars.
I'll take two...
Jokes. I have a dream garage like i guess most of you do, it's got Jap stuff in there (NSX-R, Nismo GT500 R35, Tommy Kaira ZZII, etc) but this just doesn't come close. Maybe i need to see it in the flesh, looks like a supra with a body kit

Seriously if you are worth £3 million you will not be in the market Lexus are trying to sell to with this car!
so they can just charge what ever price?..every time the argument is raised that is not worth the money people say "they'll still sell them" "people who buy them don't care"...that not answering the question...what makes that car worth 400k?"its a engineering master piece"..yeah how?
Lexus can charge what they like good luck to them but this car will be forgotten as soon as its finished production. Lexus where trying to show the world they can compete with prestige names when it comes to a supercar...yeah they can but you pay through the nose for it..
When Toyota started the brand it was to provide top levels of build quality and engineering at a competitive price...the LFA is not competitively priced.
