GTO-3 as a daily driver?
Discussion
Afternoon all,
A pal of mine is looking at a GTO-3 as a daily driver, specifically this one:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/NOBL...

Would he be mad to run one daily? Comfort, ride etc are of no concern, he got rid of an RS4 and a 350Z as they were too dull, he wants something more raw.
His query is mainly down to reliability etc. Any thoughts from owners?
Thanks in advance.

He'll be very happy to hear this!
I'd imagine the only thing stopping him is the temptation to spend a bit more and get a 3R...
If he's going to do that, and it's a daily driver, then it'll be worth going for a very late 54 plate/05 model, some of which had a better driving position, more footwell room and a better turning circle as per the M400.I'd imagine the only thing stopping him is the temptation to spend a bit more and get a 3R...
Just a thought.

That I would have though is a good eal if you can geta worthwhile warranty throw in. However, this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1703870.htm is in Kent as well, and might be worth having a look to compare a 3R with upgrades but more miles etc
Crikey that's a bit nice.
I was taken round Oulton Park in one of those by someone who really knew how to drive, the only thing quicker on the day was a proper 'Radical type' trackcar. Felt like it was one of the fastest cars I'd ever been in and I've ridden in an F40 round Millbrook.

Any idea if that is a good price if in A1 nick?
mine was mint when i bought it 2 years ago with 11k on it and it cost me 23k... didnt have a track day sump or LSD (does now cost 2k as i did it myself) but i did 30k without either of these with no issues, wouldnt last any laps on track without these tho.however the prices have stayed pretty static and your gona pay similar money to what i did to get a good one.... buy on condition/value is my advice as the same condition car could be advertised as much as 10k different.
