We just got a 55 plate legacy 3.0 spec b with 38000 miles out of the main dealer for £10k. Highly recommended.

Edited to add also had an E46 330i touring although back in year 2000 when they first came out and that was also excellent.

Had a B6 S4 a few years ago and am now on the V70R, prefer the latter, the Audi probably just pipped it in build quality but everything else the Ovlov does better, specially with a stage 2 MTE map.

Had a 147GTA and I think the diff was made by Cadbury, fantastic sounding engine, but thats about all it had going for it. Not all that fast compared to the Audi and Volvo either.

Its less economical than the Audi, 24mpg average but servicing isn't too bad. I use MRG in chippenham and they're brilliant, knowing a good dealer can make a car for me.

Same here, although I keep checking AutoTrader for a Mondeo Estate 3.0 V6 ST, around a 2006 reg. Not many built apparently.

Trying to resist, and the Mrs is assisting by moaning at me. biggrin

Be careful of the road tax hike at March 06 onwards, that's why I found a 55 one.

Full leather, electric heated seats, sat nav etc etc. AWD split 60 rear 40 front with a rear LSD also.

Only downside (potentially a big one for some people) is a not brilliant audio system that is difficult to upgrade and connect an ipod to.

A 4 year old Mondeo with 26000 miles? Doesn't sound quite right.

Definitely. Not that many of those around as tourings.
Whisper it but an LPG conversion would make running costs a bit more palatable too.

I do agree that the wood is an acquired taste, but I'm sure that could be changed.

I did think that, but should I decide to look into this car further I would check service history, previous owner(s) etc. Seems to have a HUGE spec for the money though.
