Hallo friends,

in the last 20 years my 350SE runs on 205 ZR 15, Goodyear Eagle, Bridestone RE71 and at last Bridgestone Touranza tyres.

The problem is to get good tyres for this size.

Now I have the choice from different OZ Wheels Sets of 7X15, 7,5X15, 7X16.

Did somebody use Toyo 888 or R1R on a wedge?

Some recommendations would be very appreciated thumbup
Thanx

I have used Toyo 888's and they are great tyres in the dry, very soft compound so last about 5~6K miles but in the wet .. not so nice at all. At 70+ in torrential rain they feel so loose you would not believe. Great track day tyre and look fantastic but as an everyday tyre they are not that great.

I can recommend Toyo T1-R's, or Bridgestone S02 or S03's.

I have recently been using Nexen N3000's which are fairly good, they are on the back and I've started having a little fun in the dry as they break away quite controllably. The N3000's are about half the price of other stuff.

I can highly reccomend the Falken ZE912 which are excellent especially for the budget..

Dont go for the 512, i have had these and although great fun, are OK in the dry and awful in the wet!

I have some cheapos... Eurotour 408s or whatever... on my car and they're OK for the money but excel at nothing. They light up like a napalmed mosque in the dry and are slippier than Kate Moss in a bath of Swarfega when wet.

I have the ZE912s on my MGZS, and would happily put them on the Wedge. smile

The 390 has the Yokohama A-022s that it came with....must look them up to see if they're crap or not. hehe

ETA: They're top spec' and dear !

More good news for Rob. smile

Thank you very much for your help!

I put some Bridgestone RE 050A 225/50 ZR 16 on my wedge with german TÜV approvment.
Now the wheel arches are really filled. Nice tyre, also on the track... will report the long time use.

Cheers
