Replacement head unit for 04 Mondeo

Pretty much as the title says really. Is it possible to replace the head unit in an 04 Zetec Mondeo? Can I just use a double din unit? I can't see how to remove it if it's the case.

You'll need a single DIN. The hole looks Double DIN, but it isn't. A cheap adaptor is abut £15 off EBay.
