Anyone else have one of these things?

Oh my word...
I have a couple of 1/10th and 1/8th nitro trucks but have just picked up this little 1/16th electric 'buggy' for some quiet fun in the back garden.

It's the little one.

This is my first experience of these little Brushless electric motors and i have to say i am gobsmacked with the performance of this little thing!!
Out of the box it is popping wheelies and going about as fast as any of my nitro stuff and there is space for another battery which can just about double the speed of the thing!

I am having a problem with the speed controller/transmitter so going back to the shop tomorrow but WOW! what an incredible little machine!

With the right gears and batteries it can go way faster than i would ever want it to go...

80 mph??

It runs totally under water?! Fast forward to about 1:30 if you get bored.

It's a good match for a 500hp Viper with a st driver hehe

I am still on the stock, beginners battery and this car is just stupidly quick for what it is!

Totally recommended little 'toy', but don't let your kids use it!

I got mine from a local model shop, I am sure they can be bought cheaper online but i like having someone to talk too incase of issues. It was approx £270 so not exactly cheap but you do get what you pay for in this case!

As it turns out mine has a problem with the ESC so the shop has send my ESC back for repair. They didn't have a replacement unit either, so I currently can't use the car and i have just bought a second battery and the serial cable to run two batteries at once for even sillier speeds hehe

I have only really used the truck for about twenty minutes since picking it up a few days ago, but i am assured they are normally reliable and i can't find heaps of people complaining about the issue online..

Yes, I have one too and it's aweseome. I have recently started running LiPo batteries which gives hugely extended run times and a bit more punch too. Standing back flips are possible on 2S and easy on 3S LiPos. Recently ran it at a skateboard park including some big jumps over 8ft high - some landed on the wheels and more than a few went nose or rear first into the tarmac! I was stunned I didn''t break anything but I guess that's the advantage of having the 1/16th version - it's so light so less likely to damage it. My friend has the far more expensive (>£500) 1/10th version and breaks something almost every time he takes it out.
