'Jean-Pierre Jouyet, a former French Europe minister and the current chairman of France's financial services authority, yesterday predicted only "God would help" a rudderless Britain after it snubbed its euro zone neighbours.
"There is not a two speed Europe but a three speed Europe. You have Europe of the euro, Europe of the countries that understand the euro ... and you have the English," he said.
"The English are very certainly going to be targeted given the political difficulties they have. Help yourself and heaven will help you. If you don't want to show solidarity to the euro zone, then let's see what happens to the United Kingdom."
French bank BNP Paribas yesterday warned that the post-election fallout could lead to Britain's losing its high creditworthiness market rating, a move that could lead to a run on the pound. The UK is running an annual debt rate even higher than Greece.'

For every vocal French left winger, there is an equally pissed off right winger you don't hear about. It's all terribly BBC.

Ignore them. Sour grapes IMO.

We shall see out of the two of us, who has the most practical currency.

One is proven, one is so far proven to be shaky.

Timing wise it couldn't really have been worse for the EU, could it? Who is going to go into a delicately balanced coalition government with a high likelihood of another general election in 12 months, and then suggest pissing 50BN up the Euro wall?

Good luck

Good luck
The timing worked out very well for us though. Darling still gave them £15bn before he went home though.
WHAT?! I nearly exploded just now. I thought he told them to stick it? Why the hell did he do that?

Simple way to solve this problem. Only pay into the EU what we get back. Then let's see how the Eurozone can run. I don't think the Germans are too happy right now either.

But you don't hear about the GIP and the FIP and I doubt they hear about our Eurosceptics.

Can't threaten the project at all costs.

Most governments have a international socialist sentiment.
Most people do not.

The EU is a quasi-international socialist experiment.
Most people would favour their national independence, but of course there is the payday in it, which may change their minds.

Even more perverse is how our (GB, F, D ) governments can whittle away our money on this nonsense whilst simultaneously buying into several things. This is what they get for your money.

1. The possibility of a socialist inclusive community.
2. By killing democracy, the "wrong" people don't get in.(ie:- nationalists)
3. Power and Control.

This whole thing is a socialist joke and any country who is frittering more money on this than it gets back in ridiculous PC community projects, needs to get very cross indeed (in a typical British manner).

The French and Germans aren't stupid. What are they doing spunking this amount of cash on this ste? I can understand the French, as they are a bunch of socialist s, but surely not the Germans.

Please can somebody outline why the Germans are so keen on frittering their money away on this economic folly?

Don't worry, the frogs are always honking about something or other. If it wasn't this it'd be the coffee is too weak or the tea is too strong.

So, the Frog said that only god would help a rudderless Britain.

Well, it's best that we start saving our £20B a year which we give to them to fritter.

I really do dislike some of the French.

You've been reading too much UKIP propaganda sunshine smile

Short answer - yes. We are net contributors to the EU, but the "membership costs us £45 million a day" claim from UKIP is utter bullshyte

What you need to bear in mind is that your typical Jean-Claude Froggy is a bone idle devil, who drinks wine at lunchtime and then goes for a good kip. What our BNParibas socialist banker realises is that by the UK failing to cough up, it means Jean-Claude is either going to have to pay more tax to cover it, or more likely print more Euros. Ultimately he knows it leaves lazy old J-C with less money to spend on beige Renault Kangoos, garlic sandwiches and ridiculous shoes (have you ever been in a French shoe shop, it's hilarious smile )

Please do tell us what it does cost, comrade.
