My Chimaera detailed
Discussion
Hi all
a few weeks ago I asked for some advice on removing what looked liked water drop stains from my paintwork (and a few others have asked about this recently too).
I had washed and polished the car but to no avail. I couldn't shift them. Below are a few pictures. In the first its easy to see the stains and in the second its a bit more tricky due to the reflection, but they are there....
I then got a message from a chap called Geoff (who is a member on these forums) who offered to have a look at it for me. Well, I left the TVR with him last weekend and he did a fantastic job on it. It was washed, clayed, machine polished and waxed - even the wheels and inside the bonnet shuts. The result? I'm very very happy with it now. The paintwork (its a "BMW Orient Blue" paint) now glistens in the sun like new. The water spots have gone. The wheels look new. And even the rear light lenses had all the scratches polished out. Roll on Sunday Service this week!
I don't have lots of pictures of the car at the moment, but below are two to show how glass like and reflective the panels are (the first is the bonnet and the second is the boot lid).
Geoff, if you read this you may wish to give detail of the products you used or add more photos?
many thanks
Michael
