Anywhere cheaper than Carpet Right?

Same rental property.....needs carpet throughout. 3 bed end terrace.

It is best just to go to Carpet Right?

Are there better deals out there?

I will only be fitting £5-6 sq m (cheap carpet)

Best to phone/call around your local carpet shops and ask. If you do go to Carpetright and require under-felt, don't purchase from them. Search the internet and will find it at least half the price.

What put me off Carpet Right is that their fitters don't actually work for them (or, at least, any issues with fitting have to be taken up with the fitter, not CR).

Anyway, I'd second the suggestion of trying a local shop and see what they can do for you.

I'd get a quote from them, then see if your local carpet bod can match it. If anything goes wrong it's easier to sort it out with a genuine local than a faceless corporate.

When I did my kids first house, budget was tight. I got the carpet from Carpetright, the underlay from a DIY store (maybe B&Q or Wickes) on a big roll at half the cost, and hired a local fitter directly and dropped the CR mark-up of about 40%.

The fitter even picked up the carpet from the store in his van as he fits for them anyway.

Use a local chap. We used carpet right first time round in our current property. Useless bunch of fkwits.

Same here! Mrs Saleen's father wanted to accept the stupidly high £1700 from Carpet Right to supply and fit everything, I found a local fitter who collected the carpets from the shop, we bought the underlay off the net and saved almost £1k
