Anywhere cheaper than Carpet Right?
Discussion
When I did my kids first house, budget was tight. I got the carpet from Carpetright, the underlay from a DIY store (maybe B&Q or Wickes) on a big roll at half the cost, and hired a local fitter directly and dropped the CR mark-up of about 40%.
The fitter even picked up the carpet from the store in his van as he fits for them anyway.

www.carpet.it might be worth a look, particularly for underlay.

Funny enough I did almost the same with our house, saved almost £1k - which was 25% of carpet rights all in priceThe fitter even picked up the carpet from the store in his van as he fits for them anyway.
