Anyone else seen the trailer?

I did yesterday (was on before IM2), ok it's a massive CGI-fest but the effects do look good. Not sure how much is given away in the trailer and if the rest is a damp squib of film but I'm more keen to see that now than Gladiator 2: The battle of Sherwood.

Considering that it's a video game conversion (and that they have a nasty habit of being outragiously st) then I'm not sure it'll be great. I'd love to be wrong though as I think they might have written enough of a story to let it be ok.

Besides, it's got Gemma Arterton in it, so it'll be nice to look at for a couple of hours!

The bit with him standing on the edge of the ledge before jumping is pure Assassin's Creed too.

But since the PoP game is just about jumping across platforms I think the link to the game is weak enough to not effect the film.

I saw the trailer before Iron Man 2 (not a very good sequel, but ok to watch) and it did look pretty good and something I did think I wanted to see. Though as said above, the computer games to film conversions don't tend to work too well... actually what it made me want to do is go and get my original 1990s version of the game out to play.

Hope you sat through the all credits at the end of Iron Man 2 to see the teaser trailer for (it's either Thor, or The Avengers) film to be released next year.

They did one after the first Iron Man movie too. Nick Fury turning up for the first time and meeting Tony Stark at his house. The one after IM2 was the guy who was sent to Mexico overseeing a huge impact crater, which had Thor's hammer sitting on the edge.

SWMBO wasn't happy that we were still sat there as every other person left and the dude came in to clean up, those credits were looooooong, I thought it was worth it, she didn't

Am quite keen to see PoP and Gladiator 2 for that matter

Where I was there was about 30 of us left scattered around, someone can in to clean up halfway through the credits, saw everyone still there stopped and walked slowly backwards back out

Thor is the next movie, followed by "Captain America: The First Avenger" followed by "The Avengers"

The Thor's hammer scene is really rather cool and Thor himself looks pretty good in the single teaser shot released...
