Where to stay in Moscow (3 Months / Maybe 6)

Hi

I really need some help here!!!

Looks like I may be off to Moscow for 3 months, for work.

Any tips as to where to stay? I will need a hotel at the beginning for sure, and then possibly an apartment.

I guess I will be working in the financial district - wherever that is!

Any help welcome!

Also, I need to negotiate a daily rate.

What should I expect at a corporate rate from a 3/4* (decent/quiet) hotel.

it will be expensive-there are a couple of moscow dwellers on here who should be along soon to help.
if not i should be speaking to a friend on saturday who works for intourist doing corporate travel so i should be able to get an idea on prices etc

I always stay at the Marriot Grand - it's reasonably nice (i.e. modern ish) and is just on Tverskaya within walking distance of Red Square so reasonably central with good proximity to Metro.

The Sheraton just down the road is ok, but it does feel inside that you're an extra from a 70's James Bond movie, and you will feel like your room is bugged as a result..
