Virgin Media junk mail

What's wrong with them?
Fortnightly. Sometimes weekly. Big thick envelope of junk mail from Virgin Media. Every other company in the UK managed to deal with my address going on the MPS by not sending me mail that was clearly going to go in the recycling... Virgin instead stopped addressing me by name and started using "THE OCCUPIER" instead.
(Which you can't do anything about via the MPS. Why they think I want to order anything from a company whose first interaction with me is to demonstrate that they're underhand, sneaky, and completely ignorant of my wishes I don't know.)
I can't even have the satisfaction of refusing to buy anything from them, having already passed that point after a couple of techie friends took to posting daily graphs detailing all the technical problems and multi-hour dropouts they were experiencing on their Virgin Media connections.
It's got to the point where the sheer waste of paper is annoying me.
Anybody had any luck calling/writing to them and asking them to stop? Or was it just a waste of time?
