Really should be asleep but have ended up watching Bernie and Lepu...

This week they have butchered a XJS. Apparently they have eeked an extra 100 horses from the 3.6, hmmmm and as it was riding too high for Lepu they have taken an angle grinder to the springs....oh dear.

Anyway car is...."unveiled live on national radio" at Goodwood. Brilliant! Got to admit it doesnt look too bad...like a Lister XJS on speed. Wonder how long the paint will stay looking nice....i've always wondered how good they are on the prep with rustproofing etc...

This pair should be shot, quarted, and burned.
And then the ashes scattered at sea.

Clueless cowboys making complete deathtraps, the pair of 'em.

How many series have they made now? I gave up after the "Celebrity" series where they asked Johnny Vegas what he wanted, then did the exact opposite...

That XJS is probably the best one they have done.

They make some horrific unsafe messes but it is quite entertaining.

The mk2 golf they did for jonny vegas COULD have been a awesome car if only they had kept the golf styling all be it with some wider impreza/rallye style box arches to cater for the wider track instead of destroying the bodyshell and making the ugliest thing i have seen in a long time.

The same for the 944 they destroyed for that ex EastEnders bloke, they fitted huge chunks of steel galore.

Worst bit of the engineering ive ever seen was one of their cars that had 6 inch wheel spacers that werent hubcentric, just solid lumps of ally with longer bolts - truely shocking and the car must have driven awfully.

Although Bernie certainly seems to know his stuff - and also seems to like to do a good job - they have 'destroyed' some good cars.

I can't imagine how much extra some of those cars must weigh, what with all the additional steel *and* body filler!

And, as someone else pointed out - the huge wheel spacers - reminds me of a Toyota I once had (in my yoot) - that I fitted alloy wheels to - said wheels had a somewhat large offset, and the car drove like a dog...

Still makes for interesting viewing though.

Looks as though even a Rolls / Bentley hasn't escaped the Chop Shop treatment!
