Tom Tom European maps

Sat Nav Numpty here ...... I've never owned one before.

I'm off to Spain shortly and like driving the scenic routes whilst
on holiday.

I THINK I want to get a 'TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition 2 European Maps'.

Does anybody know if the European maps included in the above system are
suitable, or are they major routes only.

Should be every road, but in reality will miss out some new roads and include others that don't exist, and depending on how you ask it to plan your route (quickest, shortest, fastest) it might even take you along the odd cattle track

Seriously the maps are excellent and include all the minor roads, just be sensible if the road looks impassable though. We have navigated round the Alps on several occasions using both an older and smaller model and it as found roads that only appear on the largest scale maps.
