Spoilt for choice really mate, depends whereabouts in sheffield you are, If yo fancy arun into the peak district the Samuel Fox at bradwell has amazing food if a little expensive. http://www.bestloved.com/hotels/hotel-the-samuel-f...

A bit closer to sheffield is the nags head at bradfield, if you like real ale this pub is good as its the brewery tap for the local brewer. I can really recomend the farmers blonde. http://www.bestloved.com/hotels/hotel-the-samuel-f...

Just a few ideas if you ant any more feel free to pm me.

Oh hell, there more than a few good ones about, but depends on where you are arriving from.

The Ladybower Inn Bottom end of snake pass

The Snake Pass Inn towards the summit of snake pass

The Millstone in hathersage

The Cross Keys in Calver

The Strines Inn on the Strines Moor road from the snake pass

Take your pick of pubs in bakewell which isnt too far away from sheffield

Think its called the Moorends Inn, between sheffield and bakewell, its a crown carvery pub, so if you go on a saturday its about £4.00 for an all you can eat carvery, and the food is usually quite good

If i think of any more, i'll let you know

Travellers Rest between Hope and Hathersage used to be pretty good too, or the Cat and Fiddle, surprisingly enough on Cat+Fiddle pass.

A bit closer in the Cricket between Dore and Totley is good for food and has Thornbridge Ales. Another Thornbridge outlet is the Coach and Horses in Dronfield.

Bakewell has some lovely pubs, but I've not really eaten in many country pubs around Sheffield. Are you from there? The Old house up on Division street is a favourite of mine, if I had to choose any of the pubs above, It would be any of the ones on Snakes Pass. Fantastic road, not sure about the food though

The Phoenix @ High Lane (Ridgeway) is pretty good.

The Peacock @ Owler Bar is also very good (Plus you usually get a few interesting cars / bikes doing a few laps of the 'lump' )
