L2B - Transport Issue - Anyone going from Basingstoke Area?

There is a group of 4 of us doing the L2B this year going from Basingstoke. This is the 3rd time. The 1st there was only 3 of us so got everything on 1 car and conned family into taking us and picking us up, last year there was 8 so we hired a cab to take and pick up for £250. This year there is only 4 of us and we're struggling with transport - cab firm we used last year is booked and other local firms want about £275 (68 quid each) which seems a bit steep.
Public transport can't even get us to clapham at a reasonable time - either far too early or far too late.
Is anyone else going from this area that has room for 4 more? happy to pay our way
