hi all, could someone please tell me if a mk2 tonneau cover would fit a mk1 thanks artdon

Nope. The popper at the front, on the seat-belt tower is different on Mk1 & Mk2. On a Mk1 it's a nipple (oo-er) and on a Mk2 it's a popper like the ones on the rear deck (but bigger). Otherwise, yes.
ETA: I guess there is no reason why you couldn't swap the Mk1 nipple for a Mk2 popper though in which case yes, it would fit!

I've a mint one for a MK1 which you can buy if you like. I bought it a month ago but it's just not going to get used so might be open to offers.
