Hey Guys,
I have this mk5 escort 1.6v 16v jobby which i picked up of a mate the other day and i have just had a look over the body and stuff the exterior is panel work is straight and good engine starts first time everytime which is a bonus,, but upon having a look on the underside i have found that the rear chassis rails have got a fair amount of rust on it and has rusted through to form a biggish hole around the drain points areas near the bottom trailing arm joints on both sides..
Now what i was wondering if any of you guys know if i could weld some plate metal there to give the strenght back into the sturcture? or is it worth just scraping it for parts?
cheers fellas

It's not like an old Escort to be rusty.
